CSI MIAMI

Hi Guys

Now playing CSI Miami, but I am having problems with the save game side, I have completed the first case and started the second case I got to the point where I have collected evidence from the Micro Brewery, as it was late I decided to end the game there, but when I tried to load the game today, the Load option is greyed out which means I have to start all over again

Has anyone come across this issue before, all help gratefully received

If you're playing the disc version, CSI: Miami was released in 2004 and made for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP so a problem saving when using Windows 7/8/10 is probably related to permissions.

The first thing to try is running as an Administrator -- right-click the game shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator" to start the game.


It's a very common problem on games made for Windows 98/ME/2000/early XP, and sometimes even later. I've seen it with Big Fish games made for Vista/7 too. The solution can vary with the game. Other things to try might be

• Compatibility mode to play
• Compatibility mode to install
• Installing somewhere other than C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)

Apparently the game has an autosave feature. Googling brought up some forums where other people appeared to have the same problem of the game not saving upon exiting. I appreciate your help, Jenny.

Many thanks for the quick replies, I will try running as administrator, if that does not work I will try the other options, when I think of it I had the same problem with Dark Motives and I solved that by installing the game on an external Hard Drive

Loaded the game onto an external Hard Drive and its working and saving great,(maybe an option to fellow games wanting to play CSI pre Windows 10 in the future) many thanks for your suggestions Jenny100 and Marian
