Schizm - Air Compressor puzzle

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been here for a long time but I am really stuck on this puzzle and need just a little advice I am following the directions very carefully by pumping the gas handles 1 to 10 times, a total of 55 times.
When I turn to the meter the number is consistently too high. Example: There are only 10 pump handles and when I subtract 55 from the total it is always 17 or 21, or some unrealistic number like that. I have trued
every way I can think of to make it work and it just doesn't work. This is one puzzle where I have to follow a walkthrough very closely but it just will not work. I am about to give up entirely on this game but I
am not a quitter. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Which Schizm game are you talking about? 1 or 2?
In which part of the game are you? I am figuring out which puzzle you mean.

I have played Schizm 1 in 2017 and louis has updated his walkthrough in the same year with lots of screenshots.
The only problem for you is that it is in Dutch, you have to use a translating tool.
You can find it at: www.pcgameswalkthroughs.nl and in the Dutch sectie you find the walkthrough.

Hello Lion_1251, Marian and Jenny100,
I am happy to report that I have solved the Air Compressor puzzle! I was able to figure it out by watching a video (which only gave a small hint) and some logic along with some pure luck. When this puzzle is solved the Fish Balloon rises and comes to take you away to another island (Matia). When you sit down at the controls of the Fish Balloon there is a set of icons that must be entered correctly. I did it incorrectly and ended up in the middle of the sea, stranded, however I figured the correct entry by trial and error and finally got to Matia Island. This game is challenging but the scenery is so beautiful! Many thanks to all of you who responded to me, I hope I don't have any more puzzles like that one, but if I do I will be back! Sue T

I also enjoyed that game so much; loved the graphics, and solved many but not all of the puzzles without much help. However, I finally encountered one I couldn't get past, and had to give up; something I don't like to do.

I called it the 'Railroad' puzzle. You versus the computer. I think if I had been paid minimum wage for the time I spent wrestling with it, I could probably take us both on a nice vacation. (Note to self: "What's a vacation?") I really hope you get through that one; I think I never will.

Edit: Just looked it up, and people call it the 'bridge' puzzle because you must cause two segments of a railroad bridge to rise - which means you have to win the game twice. I also looked forward into the walkthroughs which I normally don't look at, and realized how much I had missed by giving up. Arrgh; I must "Gird My Loins" and play the game anew after all these years. Wish me luck.

Download the saves and unpack them, there are 4 saves in it and a word document with a explenation how to use. In English and in Dutch.
