Nancy Drew Midnight in Salem

Anyone know what I'm supposed to do on the cemetery tour, to get it done? I've clicked on a few headstones and used the tablet on the main tomb there.

There's actually quite a lot you need to do.

Every time you find a landmark that is mentioned in the list on the tablet, you have to select the tablet in your inventory (the mouse cursor will change accordingly) and then click on the spot itself (or the raven sign next to it). There are things to check out in the cemetery and in the museum, for starters.

I'm stuck again. I wish the game had a hint button. lol I found a letter in the Hathorne house about the Will being in the house, I can't find it and tried to talk/call everyone but there's nothing new to ask.

Not sure what you have done/haven't done up to this point so it's hard to give you any guidance. You won't find the will until later in the game. Maybe take a look at a video walkthrough?

I can't get passed the cypher, in the graveyard, even following the wt. Anyone have a saved game at that spot?

If you make it full screen, you can at least see the symbols better which makes it easier to do.

I would give that a try, and if I come across any saved games for this, I will let you know. I am not even sure where the saved games are located with the Steam version of the game so would have to find that out, too.

Thanks Marian. I've been watching the video WT's and the WT, I got with the purchase of the game. I don't have the Steam version, I bought the game from HerInteractive. I can't find the saves for the game, so I will have to keep trying.

No idea if Midnight in Salem is the same, but with the other ND games the saved games were usually found in Documents. That is where I am seeing them on my computer, at any rate.

For some reason I just assumed you had purchased the game from Steam - I should not have assumed that.

Its weird I found the saves for Message in a Haunted Mansion, in a folder in documents but not Midnight in Salem. I'm surprised that game is playing on my laptop. I'll have to search for the game itself, maybe the saves are there. BTW, no problem that you assumed I got the game from Steam.

I know other people who are running Secrets Can Kill (the original) and Stay Tuned for Danger on Windows 10, so I am not surprised that MHM is working for you.

No, there won't be one, as far as I know. If you buy the game from HeR Interactive, you get a free digital strategy guide. There are also video walkthroughs available on YouTube.

Our amazing resident walkthrough writer and former GameBoomers administrator, MaG, retired over two years ago. We still get walkthroughs from other people occasionally but not on a regular basis.

Aah Thanks Marian. Not having played many, if any, Adventure Games for a few years, I haven't been on GameBoomers for a while also. I remember MaG fondly amd gratefully for all of her and others regular amazing walkthroughs. ❤

And thanks also for the reminder about the digital guide, I had forgotten it came with the game. I'll have a look to find out where it is on my pc for guidance on getting everyone's alibi's. There's a few that seem to be MIA But I have made lots of Johnny Cakes. And looked up what they are as I'm not familiar with them in Australia...Cornmeal pancakes...and made some today with polenta...very tasty. However I digress and off topic.

I am enjoying the game, although for me, too much talking and not enough game play, however it's been a long wait for this next ND game so I'm happy about that and getting used to the different look and way of getting around. I've been playing casual games on BF while I was working but now retired so looking forward to getting stuck into some adventure games now I have more time. Seasons Greetings to all at GB! 🤶

found it, the guide had direction, i was doing them wronge.

i am startingg over, i keep burning the johnny cakes, and do them better.

i started over, and still have my achievements, some of them.

it kept the achievements i got before.

i left something out started over, Door in Museum, to go to the 2nd floor.

I think going to the second floor is optional but should be included if you wish to try to do everything.
