Amnesia Rebirth--Adventure Mode

Hello,
I am in the Lower Factory. After climbing down the ladder and going through the door with the mechanism i went across the big room and found a huge rock blocking a hole in the wall. Before climbing through I searched and searched for the stairs, no luck. I climbed through the hole, searched and still no stairs. I came across a door but the button doesn't work. I have spent an hour wandering around and around. None of the videos help because they aren't playing adventure mode. Nor has the walk throughs.

Does anybody know how I am supposed to move on, what can I do?

I played the game in both modes and have it loaded up right now. Not sure If I can find where you are, but I'll try!

EDIT: Hah! Got it! I happened to have a save right where you are. In front of that door that won't work to the left is the power for it. There is a black tube nearby which you must uncover and plug into the device.

Marian, yes i was getting so frustrated with this.

I know the feeling only too well.

It took me a while to figure it out too - I had a vague memory of plugging something in, but couldn't remember what. At first I grabbed two of those shaped items on the floor and tried to plug those in! Then I saw the black hose. AHA!

I found that I have several saves at different places, so just holler if you get stuck again. Have fun with the rest of the game! It's a really good one.
