Inherent Evil

Howdy doo!
I've just start this scary game (To get me in the Halloween Spirit...oops pardon the pun)
Anyway, I stuck in Part 1 and can't seem to finnish it. I have both Linda Shaw's WT and GGC's. I cannot find the Basement door. Can anyone help?? I've got the flashlight, been all over the 1st floor, found the key to room 105, put back the picture on the first floor, called 911 (reported the murder) read the diary, read all the stuff on the bullitin board, tried to play the chess game, Saw "Mama" in the TV. Got the basement key. I'm sooooooo stuck.

As you walk from the first floor elevators toward the front desk, veer to the right and go to the door in front of you (the one that goes into the swimming pool area) but don't go through it. Turn to the left and you'll see the door to the basement.
