Uru -- I thought I'd seen everything!

Uru -- I thought I'd seen everything! - 05/17/05 02:49 AM

But this evening, while playing through for maybe the fourth or fifth time, I saw nighttime in Eder Gira! Complete with chirping crickets. Pure enchantment. I just wandered around taking pictures and enjoying the night air. I wonder what else I've missed... rotfl

Annie -- you've seen the sunrise or sunset in Eder Gira, haven't you?

Hey Annie, the first time that happened to me I thought it was a bug-n-tha-game. DUH! slapforehead

I saw night time in Eder Gira on my fourth playthrough. Check ***here*** for more information. Eder Gira has a 10 hour day/night cycle.

I saw night time right away. Did you folks walk up the huge semi-circular bone and take a squinty-eyed look at that little village in the distance?

No. If you mean the bone I think you mean, I didn't think you'd be able to walk up it. Was the village in the same direction as the waterfall?

Does this mean I have to (I mean, get to) sit and wait for up to ten hours? rotfl I think it would be worth it, but the husbandoid already thinks I spend too much time on this. But I guess I can spend the time walking up the bone to see the village, as well as taking lots more pictures of the fishes.

And thanks, Becky and Jenny for the new info! And, Gymcandy, I'll see you in Eder Gira, climbing up the bone!

Well, if it's dark in Eder Gira, you could still walk the bone, though seeing the village might be problematic for a few hours. smile

Yes the village is out past the waterfall. I remember standing on the bone, but now I'm not quite sure how I got up it -- I think I walked up it, though it's possible I ran/jumped up it. It does give you the best view you can get of the village.

While waiting for dawn -- have you tried walking out on that long pipe near the lava area? You can jump down off a ledge and (as I recall) then clamber onto it.

Becky, have you climbed/jumped/dropped everywhere in Uru? I have now seen the sun set. And I walked up the bone arch. More like walk, turn, scooch, walk. Currently I'm stuck (again) trying to get to the 4th sphere in Ahnonay, so dropping in to long pipes sides like a lot more fun.

Hey Annie -- I'm sure there are places to walk to or jump to that I haven't discovered yet. I had the benefit of two children who also played the game. Watching them play was eye-opening, to say the least.

Well I never thought I could just walk up that arch but sure enough, walked right up turned and saw the little village. I hope there are more little discoveries waiting.
