Is the game linear? If we miss picking up an object or doing something, can we go back and do it?

Partial answer. Someone else asked a similar question about picking up objects that we might have missed.
I will send the question about the internal linearity of the gameplay.

The answer on gameplay linearity....

EGYPT 3 game is linear. However, some dialogues and some of the training in magic is not compulsory: in several situations, the player can either talk to other characters or move forward immediately. By talking with the other characters, he will gather more information on what is happening and on what people know around him. Sometimes, it can help him/her to progress in the game.
