New Broken sword game coming VERY soon - RELEASED

Hi guys, i was searching around to see what new games r coming out and came across this Broken sword 2.5
In just over a month, broken sword 2.5 will be released...and we will be able to download the full version for FREE...yay. I only hope it lives up to the standards of past Broken sword games.

I hope it is like the first two games. The last two were a little sub par to me but the fact that it will be free is a can't lose situation.

Its a neat little game..I can't believe it will be a free full game download...

escakacs, this is a free game made by a creative team out of their love for the earlier Broken Swords. I cannot imagine they will have a CD, especially since to break even they'd have to charge and I do not believe they legally have the right to charge for a Broken Sword game.

Phooey! Most downloads are time prohibitive for me!

Just get yourself a download manager (you can inquire in Glitches) and then you can do it in small increments.

I played the demo a long time ago and thought it was great
Felt just like the first two games.
The demo puzzles were quite good and had me wanting for me.

Is there a walkthrough for this game. I can't get the laxative from the pharmacist. Thanks

The full game has german voices and english subtitles. There will be an english voiced game in the near future. I've been waiting for ths game for about six years.

How exciting. I loved the Broken Sword series.

I am so happy to find this. I always felt that the third and fourth Broken Swords got too clever on graphic style and lost some of the cartoon appeal of the first two. I'm downloading as I type, will post my thoughts in due course

It's suppose to be true Koalanut. The game will be in German voice and English subtitles. I'm waiting for the english version.

NOt sure what you mean Barry. This is a full version game. It is a fan made game not a commercial game, I think this is it. Just post in Hints if you need help, not sure about a walkthrough coming out.

All the dialogue is in German with English subs Ana. What I was inquiring about is whether a full English version will be made available.

Ah well. In that topic tho they said its not english voices which i would be disapointed in as i dont want to read what ppl are saying.

The download file size (697 Megabytes) may be daunting but it is well worth the effort. Anyone who played the original Broken Sword games must get this one. Those still with a dial-up connection could perhaps ask a friend on Gameboomers to copy the game to a CD.

I played it, almost non-stop for 2 "days" (about 15 hours) and was absolutely enthralled. I didn't need even one hint and that is saying something for me who always prints off MaG's walkthrough before I begin any game.

Forget worrying about the German language, I don't speak it either, just read the English sub titles. George is still George.

The story is great, makes me feel like playing the original BS2 again.

Just finished the game and thought it was great! Has anyone brought up the "bonus" at the end? It's all in German so don't really know what it's about.

Have a look at the "Links page - http://www.brokensword25.com/news/links.htm - there are some superb fan-made games up for grabs. I'm planning to give "Dirty Split" a try.

Hi Bristol, I too logged in to get the bonus in the end - I think it consisted of 'bits & pieces' i.e. music, artwork etc that you could download? - I've tried a couple of things but haven't got round to looking yet to see whether that's the case!

Some of these "fan made" really are SO good !!
They can knock the spots off many a "paid good money for it" game

And I'm really, really hoping that Simon 4 will eventually become available with some kind of "English" speech or text.

English is done for simon 4 Mad cos i have it bought from NL by a mate there awhile ago now.

Did anyone notice a few things in the inventory that you didn't use?

Mostly when you no longer needed the item it disappeared but at the end I still had the needle and the York United sweater that I never needed.

Just curious.
