is there a limit on BAAGing? - 10/19/08 07:23 PM

oopsI feel another attack coming on!
thinkWhat is the highest number of unplayed games you feel you should have?
Do you try to limit BAAGing or is the sky the limit?
Do you keep all the games after you play them?
I just counted my unplayed ones-I have 6 older games that probably don't play on XP. 10 newer ones that I havn't got around to playing. I have around 20 that I'm keeping(who knows if I'll ever get to replay them but can't seem to part with.)The rest I have sold on Amazon or am trying to sell.
I would consider myself in the mid-range of the BAAGing syndrome.
How about you?

I don't sell ANY of my games unless I have exact duplicates of the game. I'm an avid collector - right now my passion is to get boxed versions of the jc versions I have.

Can't say I have any "old" games, that I haven't played, but a lot i would like to replay smile
Of newers ones I think I only have 1 and waiting for a second to arrive. Although I would love if I had 100, lol.

I really don't know how many games I have - too many to count laugh

I probably have about 50 unplayed games but they are mostly older ones & not all AGs. Of the more recent there are probably 4 or 5 yet to play & my total collection, as I have it in mind to one day replay them, is at least 250! I'll probably have to limit my BAAGing or get rid of some when I run out of space to store them! lol

I have about 56 unplayed Adventure games. The oldest is about a year old, and I still keep buying. I guess it comes from when it was so hard to get Adventure games. Sometimes I feel really guilty. I also have been buying PS3, Wii, and DS Lite games. I guess you could say I'm addicted. wave

I have at least 3 games loaded on my PC...Out of those three they are still not finished....I like to take my time playing...

I have several on pre-order...I have 5 games still not played..
I never sell games ..I only trade them for others I haven't got..

Alot of the older games I had...I either give them away or they just sit on the shelf...I do have about 20 I will never trade.. turkey

I have 40 unplayed games, keep all of them, and also buy for the DS, Wii and Playstation 3, and play the casual games too. I guess the is no limit on BAAGing as long as there are games to be played.

No limit on number.
Why should there be?
I'll get around to playing them eventually.

With adventure games, if you don't buy them when you see them, you risk never seeing them again -- at least not for an affordable price. Just try to find a new copy of Ankh 2. It's harder than finding Ankh 1.

I don't limit myself based on number. I might limit myself based on what I think the quality of the game is, and whether I think I'll enjoy the game or not.

One entire file cabinet will have to be enough because I don't have room for any more. Three drawers are full of games and one drawer just for the walkthroughs and my notes. Of course, that doesn't include the 100 casual games I have downloaded on my computer. I have a serious addiction problem but it doesn't seem to be affecting my health. In fact, I find it relieves stress to play computer games.

Surely its better to play games as and when they come out. I have old games which won't run on XP or Vista and are just gathering dust, as I no longer have the computers that I played them on. Win 95 games are especially hard to get going without patches and general fiddling around.
Although out of curiousity I did install and run 'Black Dahlia' when I had my XP and it ran fine. wave

Yep, I agree - no such thing as limit and baaging. Especially now I have an extra room after my eldest daughter moved out lol
670 boxed games according to the excel spreadhseet, and I reckon at least half of those are unplayed. Many will never be; the DOS Infocom games and their like for instance will probably just be admired for their goodies and packaging.

Oh man flotsam - I would LOVE to rummage through your old boxed games and maybe slip a few in my bag, before I leave, rotfl

You wouldn't happen to have Orion Burger, now would you?

I also keep the games I have bought. I buy 5-6 at a time and usually have them all played in a couple months or so. I do have 4 that I gave up on but that's not too bad out of 340 games.
I keep them all as I replay them when I don't see anything else I want to order. I have a lot of favorites that I replay many times and I alwas play each one at least twice. This helps me remember little details about them when anyone asks me about them. I do a lot of beta testing so it doesn't bother me at all to play the same one over and over. I hate to see anyone say they only need to play a game once to remember it because all games have different routes you take depending on what you do so if you play it once there will be a lot of the game you never see at all. I have some I have played as many as 10 times and still found something I had missed before because a person tends to follow the same path through the game as he/she did before.

A BAAGER knows no limits! I'm a level 7 myself. Pretty much says it all. lol

I have a ton of games sitting around that I haven't gotten to playing yet. Some of the ones that have been played have gone back on the shelf because I was too frustrated to finish them. I just keep telling myself I'll play the game again "one of these days." wink

Re: is there a limit on BAAGing? - 10/20/08 08:32 PM

We all be in trouble if there was a limit I just checking what I have over 65 Adventure games does not in include lots of casual games I guess about 10 not played yet and looking for more to get. Having over three hundred or more that would be treasure trove for sure. Everytime I read on this forum I see more games needed to be added to my list. Oh well what a better way to go unlimited gaming fun.
