I put off buying this game for long time and when I found it,at a really reasonable price for $3.50 like new condition. I found this game enchanting and mystical place to go. You lose yourself in the game that I found I was playing it in the wee hours of the next day. Story was great with sense of humor there too graphics where stunning. It was a long game but you got to do so many interesting things. I hated the game to end but I finished it this morning. It would be interesting if they made a sequel to continue the story.

One of the best games I've ever played in my life. Some parts were really difficult (at least it had the inner hint system, otherwise I would still play it till today!) but as a whole project it was a really nice work, brilliantly executed! Glad you liked it!

One of my very favorite games. All I can say is bombard the developer with emails asking them to do a sequel. If they know they're loved they might return.

I really loved Keppsake as well. However, the last puzzles in the game were totally unsolvable, and since I don't like using walkthroughs, that kinda wrecked my experience...

I really enjoyed the game, too, but some puzzles were not manageable at all for me, even with the "hints"; glad for the walkthrough. But I certainly would recommend it, since it's such a large game and so beautifully done.

It is certainly a large game but with wonderful graphics. Like others I used the hints a lot, up to and including the last one which solved the puzzle in some of them.
It gets my vote for the most running around of any game I've played. Miles and miles and more miles!!!!
Good mix of sad and funny as well. Certainly the ending was unexpected.

Old Lady I know what you mean all the running I was exhausted trying to keep up with her. I would love to be able to glide down all those stairs like her. I found I was so hook on the story that I played and just wanted to do one more thing next thing I know it is moring already. But worth the effort for sure it would be nice if they continue the story there are so many possibilities to it.

I didn't use the Hints much at all, but I certainly used the map.
I loved that the game was so large though. I enjoyed the sightseeing. I also enjoyed solving the game's puzzles.

I loved this game! I found it stuffed in bin for abou 5 bucks and I did not have high hopes for it let me tell! I mean how good could it be for 5 bucks? It had the best graphis and detail of any game I've ever played. Yes a few of the puzzles were a little to hard (I had the most trouble with the water puzzle and the machine room puzzle) but they gave you hints and even let you skip the puzzle if you had too. The ending was pretty sad, but I felt like it was fit together well story wise. And all the running made me feel like I was actually getting a workout as I played! lol

Anyway it was a great game and if they ever want to make a sequel I'll be first in line to buy it!

I almost didn't buy the game when it came out on the market years ago because I then had such a lot of unplayed games on my desk. Bought it nonetheless and loved it from the first moment. Wrote a walkthrough for having an excuse to play it over and over again lol
One of the best!

Yup. Same reasons I liked the first Aura game -- beautiful scenery and fun puzzles.

Re: Keepsake - 10/26/08 08:44 PM

I never thought of playing Keepsake, because I don't care much for fantasy and magic potions and all that. And the reviews make it sound like a girlie Harry Potter game.

But Aura and the Sacred Rings are among my favourite games -in spite of the fantasy setting- because of the abundance of fun puzzles that were just right for me in terms of complexity (meaning not very). And also because of the lack of dragons and elfs smile

Should I reconsider?

If you like the puzzles in Aura, then I would say yes.
