BFG - The week in (p)review - 03/17/09 05:46 AM

Since I gave a sneak peek last week...
Here are some great titles releasing this week.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened - Great large file adventure game later this week.
Emerald City Confidential - Good solid HO Adventure, not technically this week, launches next Monday the 23rd. The 23rd is a date fixed by the developer, otherwise we would give it to you this week!

There are a few other titles this week I have not played, so if I like them I will add them to this thread.

Wow thanks BFG- Guy
- both games I have wanted. Is the Sherlock Holmes the Awakened the version with the 2 choices of game control- 1st or 3rd person?

'The Awakened' has been deeply rethought to offer a totally new third person view while keeping its original first person view.

Those are both great games, but to give the release the proper exposure, I'm going to move this thread to the Adventure Game Forum as both of those games are classified as Adventures here.

Twice the exposure is always better, right? wave

I am so happy to hear that Emerald City will be available at BFG . After reading the news concerning privacey at Playfirst I decided not to download from them and now that I see there is another option I will be first in line at BFG to purchase my copy.

Marian, What are your thoughts about "Unwell Mell?" How does it compare with some of the other recent releases? I have been debating about buying this game.

Any thoughts when Casebook II will be available, or should I just get it from the developers.

Thanks BellaRosa!

Adorable -- I don't know when Casebook II will be on BigFish. I don't even have a tiny bit of evidence upon which to base a guess. laugh

Re: BFG - The week in (p)review - 03/21/09 02:05 PM

Since I already bought the origional Sherlock Holmes awakening and couldn't play it because of motion sickness, I want to make sure that the one BFG is offering now is the new Sherlock Holmes Awakening remastered. Can anyone tell me if this is the newest one? It doesn't say remastered so this is confusing me.

I read what BFG Guy said, but still I am confused. Doesn't take much these day to confuse me.

Hi Sherryah

I can confirm you play in the third person.

The opening scene had movement as it zoomed around the town to Baker street so perhpas after loading the game, just let the opening scene run - go away and then come back and you should be good to go.

Emarald City now out at Big Fish for club members smile

It's a very cute game- fairly easy so far but it a bit of light fun.
It is only 79mb and a demo available.
