Not sure if this is what you mean BUT this scene reminds me of the 'taste' and/or feel of the Simon The Sorcerer games, grainy graphics, colors and atmosphere of a cave scene from one of his 'adventures' and the characters resemble the cartoony style. Is that any help to you?

Yep - it was Kyrandia.

I loved all the Kyrandia games, especially the first one.
