I've never downloaded a game yet.About how long would it take to download Lost Horizon.I only have 20 hours of Internet time.

I just finished the game last night. That's a great price for a lot of game.

Beerhead, it'll depend on the speed of your internet connection. I downloaded it from Steam and as I recall (it's been awhile) it took me less than an hour, but I have a cable modem, so downloading is fast.

Thanks for posting this link. I jumped on it because I have been hearing from the GBs who have played it that it is a great game. I am going to start downloading it shortly. Hopefully it will work. I don't seem to have much luck downloading large file games.

Hello to all and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I downloaded Lost Horizon from Amazon and installed ot; however, it said I needed a "plug in" to unlock, even though I typed the key in. What and where is a plug in? Thanks judy

Marian, no there wasn't anything about a "plug in" when discussing activation. I want to contact Deep Silver, but couldn't find it on "Game and Developers". I also Googled and got a site who had a download possible,so that didn't help. How strange. I have neve never been asked for a plug in in order to activate the key and game. Has anyone else had this after installing the game? Thanks, Judy D

Well, after calling Deepsilver to no avail, I uninstalled the game and re installed..made sure the internet was available and was able to unlock. it all was very frustrating,but worth the effort!Of course I still don't know what a plug in means, BUT do not care at this place and time! In a previous thread on Lost Horizon one of our members said that it is, indeed, illegal to show the swastika on anything in Germany. Personally, I thought the iron cross looked okay; at least it's in keeping with an earlier time in the country and isn't that noticeable. (On reflection, I believe the iron cross was a prestigious medal given out in some branch of the German military during WWII.)

Thanks for the tip Marian. Even though I don't live in the states I was able to purchase this as I could put in my folks address in the US which then allowed me through the checkout process.

As Judy mentioned, the activation process was a bit odd as it required a browser plug-in to work. Fortunately once activated I was able to remove the plug-in and the game still works.

I think you're talking about the Amazon Games and Software Downloader which you need to download it from Amazon. I downloaded this afternoon - I think it took me about 2-1/2 hours, and have been playing since then. I love the game! Was just waiting for the price to come down.

I have a slower DSL and it took the better part of 22 hours for my download.

Unfortunately after starting it I find from the first impression it isn't my type of game after all. But it was only $5.
