I Dod a google and found a patch 2. On Mediafire PC Games4all. Will that fix the problem?

Winfrey, there was a patch on Steam (my copy is a Steam copy) on 12th Feb, and the problems I experienced came after that. And since there's only one save slot in the game, I can't go back to the broken game anyway, because the new one I started overwrote the old one.
