Quote:
Hamburg, August 30th, 2013 – Memoria, Daedalic’s latest point & click adventure release, is available now: Today, Daedalic Entertainment and Deep Silver are releasing the fantasy adventure game, which is set in the RPG universe of The Dark Eye. Memoria introduces two playable characters as well as two different storylines, set almost 500 years apart from each other. One of the stories continues the events of Daedalic Entertainment’s point & click adventure game Chains of Satinav.

There’s a lot of love coming from the international games press: "Gamona" calls Memoria "Daedalic’s latest masterpiece" and rated it 90 %, which qualifies Memoria for their Gold Award.

Another Gold Award was granted by “GameStar” magazine, where Memoria scored 85 points.

9 out of 10 points is the score from “GameReactor.de” – they call the game “a very special masterpiece.”

Eurogamer considers Memoria by far the best Daedalic-title to date “You don’t something like this every day. Enjoy it!”

Memoria is available online now, via Steam as well as in the official Mac App store.

About Memoria
500 years have passed, since Sadja, princess of the faraway kingdom of Fasar, set forth to fight in the great battle of the Gorian Desert. Victory in this battle against mighty demons would cement her place as one of the greatest heroes of all time – but she failed.
Her story was lost in the sands of time, and now a young fowler named Geron must unravel her mysterious fate. But his search sets events in motion that will cast a long shadow over his homeland and turn his present into a twisted image of a long lost past...

Memoria’s Aventuria setting is based on The Dark Eye, probably Europe’s best-known pen & paper RPG system. Memoria move beyond traditional point & click adventure gameplay to add a magic system derived from this RPG. Players will cast magic spells that allow them to banish darkness or even to take direct control over mysterious creatures that could prove useful in the quest. Memoria enriches the classic point & click adventure gameplay, offering captivating puzzles, an epic story full of ancient magic and unexpected twists as Geron sees how the distant past still echoes through all of our lives.

Happy Gaming!

Re: Memoria: Daedalic’s Latest Fantasy Point & Click Adventure Game Available Now - 09/02/13 06:35 AM

Thanks Ana. As soon as I saw your post, I went to The Adventure Shop and purchased it. I'm playing the game now. (starting Chapter 2). I DO have one complaint about the Metaboli "FAST" download, however. The game takes up over 8 GB's of HD space, and the transfer rate was only 171 KB's per second (maximum). It took 17 hours for the download to complete. From other legitimate game sites, the transfer rate is always around 1 MEG per second. I think that Adventure Shop should be made aware of this.
ANYWAY, HAPPY GAMING!

Darleen, I'm playing it on my WIN XP computer, and it's woking just fine. I bought my download of this game from The Adventure Shop, but I don't see any reason for it not to work on the Steam version as well. I'm really enjoying this game. Just starting Chapter 4.

I am just starting chapter 5 now and absolutely love the game. Does anybody know how many chapters there are in this game? Would be great to know if I am nearly finished, half way there or even just started.

Re: Memoria: Daedalic’s Latest Fantasy Point & Click Adventure Game Available Now - 09/18/13 08:21 PM

Mad, I think the disk version only comes in German. When I clicked on the link for the DVD, it led me to the Amazon Germany website, so I doubt there will be one in English. The Gamersgate version is DRM free, though. That's the one I purchased.

You're welcome, Mad. Glad you're still able to get most of your games on disk. I'm a little jealous of that, actually. lol I just hunt for the DRM free ones now because at least then I know I can save them to a disk or a flash drive and still be able to play them years later. yes
