URU live

Does anyone know how long URU live will be down and or why. It has been several days now and I sure hope it comes back.

There was a statement here for a shutdown. Maybe they just had further difficulties.

I just checked.. it is still down

Yesterday URU appeared to be back. So I logged in.. looks like I lost my character! Then, just to see what would happen, I tried to start with a new character. Ended up with a slowly scrolling (right to left) screen of cave art that never ends. I had to "control alt. delete) to get out of it.
I tried it again this morning and got the same thing.

Uru had a vault wipe, all characters are lost. To get out of the scrolling screen just hit escape. I created a gameboomers hood, avatar name Game Boomer's KI 00140843 hopefully somebody will come along and join so I will then beable to get my avatar lor joined up.

ok, I got logged in and went to the area to find the gameboomers hood could not find it... my id is ID 00146535 I have forgotten ALOT!!LOL

Uru live is up and running... lor and I are in the gameboomers hood... hopefully others will come.... everything was lost so you have to recreate your person and start over.... boy have I forgotten ALOT!!

I visited the hood today. It reminded me of how much I have forgotten. Not sure I want to play the whole game again.

I put some eggs on to boil this afternoon, planning some egg salad. Went to the computer, and found this thread, and started Uru.
Yes, my persona had vanished as described, so I created a new one and guess what? Some time later (time does not pass normally in Uru) I heard the crash of breaking glass.
Oi !! The eggs were petrified, the pot had exploded, and (whew) the fire alarm did not go off.

So yes, maybe I will play through it after all. With some sensible planning, that is.
Question is, all those marker games - are they stored on the clients' (that's us) computers? and could they be easily re-loaded by the people who created them?
They were the most fun.

Lol..felt the sameway......ended up playing for a couple of hours...I am now wandering around clicking off those markers.....

Ok visited the hood today could not find Gameboomers my Ki is 00332342, realise that I have not visited for so long I have forgotten everything and I can't find my instructions so a bit of inventive research is needed.

hi, you got your ki.... have you gone to the room where you put your hand into the device and see the public.. city private places you can click on... click on public.. there is an arrow thingie to scroll down... scroll down and you should see gameboomers listed. I cant help today but thursday if you are not on I can

2:56 Uru live down again for awhile... server reboot going on

Wouldn't it be smart for each of us and the server to have backups? The weather was awful today, cold, rainy and overcast. Just perfect for adventuring if only the server wasn't down again!!! I was really beginning to get into recreating my characters progress. Don't get me wrong... I'm not angry yet only disappointed.

It's back up. I agree....wasn't going to spend much time this afternoon there... but 2 hours later... :-)

If you cant find it. We can set up with you a time and I will mes you at the ferry go back to tour room with you and have you delete your book Then you will go bad to mine and use my book. That is what Lor did for me. Lol.......I think I can do it :-)

Nope - don't know what time you are but its 15.48 UK time and I have just visited and I cannot find GB hood, but not too worry I am going to explore and 'do' some of the ages

Yes I am in the UK and hopefully will have some time to play today. KI for lor is 140843, I will add you to my buddy list Monbron.

It will be quicked if you have your hood book pushed in already, that saves a trip to your relto. To do this flip up the top flap and push the book in, answer yes to do you want to delete this.

Not sure why GB hood doesn@t show in nexus, I will have to work on that.

Come on guys lets get some members in GB hood.

GameBoomers now shows in nexus

Got quite a bit done this morning, 2 ages, red and green markers and some relto pages. Its lunch time for me now, hopefully be back later.

Ok can now access GB hood, but having trouble setting up your KIs in my buddy list, will pm you about it.
