Asylopole sci-fi adventure game

Hello ! I'd like to present an old-school adventure game: Asylopole (inspired by classics such as Space Quest Monkey Island, Blade runner, Sanitarium,...).
On this project, I've been doing almost everything (story, writing dialogs, art, music,...).

I'm baffled. Sanitarium and Monkey Island are NOT sci Fi. Blade Runner is nothing like Space Quest. I've played all these games (only Space Quest 6) except Monkey Island and found them all unique and nothing alike. What does Pixoala mean by 'Old school'? Is it like those games as in older style games, sci fi like Blade Runner or sci fi like Space Quest? Not trying to be difficult.

It doesn't say Sanitarium or Monkey Island are Sci-Fi Bubbajake, it just says inspired by. THat could mean a whole gamut of things!

Old school doesn't have anything to do with Sci Fi either, it just means it feels like the games used to in the 90's.
