Hi GameBoomers!
First, Thank you again for all the GameBoomer testers! Many of the first round bug reports came directly from GameBoomers members and we really appreciate all the contributions and patience with the project.
Testing Update:
It took us a while to get a second build out but, we did just that in January.
In February we added a successful Linux build into the mix! We have a Mac build but, it is having some file signature issues currently making it unplayable. We're hoping to resolve that ASAP and will keep people in the testing group updated.
Overall Project Update:
We clearly didn't release the game on Halloween. We also missed the "1st quarter 2019" release window. I apologize on behalf of the team for how long development is taking. I can assure you this isn't vaporware, as evidenced by the testing build updates above. We know that the development team and overall communications have let people down. We want to do the game right because we know people like you want it done right. Bottom line is, we're making good progress on things at this point.
There was a significant amount of work that went into optimizing videos and fixing things like room dimensions, etc. Those fixes tied directly to feedback from the first test build. Most of the puzzles are done, and we're working on getting backer assets into the game.
Realistically we're hoping for a Mid-Summer (July) release. That isn't a guarantee but, we have hit almost all of our action items for each of the past two months, so it seems like we are on track.
As always, thank you to the GameBoomers community for your patience and support of the project. You've been cheering us on long before the Kickstarter and continue to be a source of strength and inspiration for the team!
