Thank you, BrownEyedTigre. I really like the look of this - and if it has a "save when you want" system will definitely be visiting GOG to buy it !! dance

I'm going to buy this. Without your notification I would never have known about Truberbrook which looks right up my alley.

I believe that you can choose between point and click or a game controller.

No, but they are planning to do an update fixing that! It currently saves when it wants to and leaving players replaying certain parts because there is no way to know where it saves.

That's really good information, Ana - thanks for letting us know about the planned update. wave

"no way to know where it saves"? That's bad. Usually there is some spinning circle in the corner or something.

Thanks for that info.

Thanks for that news, BrownEyedTigre thumbsup

Hopefully the fix will enable a "save when you want" situation.

And, if it does, I will be off to GOG like a shot to buy the game laugh

Ok, to update the save feature post I made, rather than relying on others comments, here is the official response from the developers " Dear Ana,

The game has an auto-save function which saves the game every time you enter a new scene.

Beste greetings!"

Thanks very much for that extra info, BrownEyedTigre smile

Looks like I won't be going for the game then as I need to be able to save as and when I choose rolleyes

Really sad about that ....

If you can be bothered, there is a way round this that I have regularly used.

1. Find out where the game's save files are stored
2. Play the game and, whenever the scene changes or you want to make a save, quit the game
3. Compress the game's save files into a zipfile
4. Rename the zipfile to something meaningful to you, e.g. 01 the start.zip, 02 over the first hurdle.zip, etc
5. Continue with the game until you next want to save and repeat the process

If you want to use the save files, just extract them back to where they came from.

The Eyes of Ara has a similar 3-user save system as Truberbrook - yet I have over 40 saves spread out over my journey through that game

Thanks for that procedure guide, albadross. I have copied it and will keep it - just in case I have a change of heart and become desperate to play the game thumbsup

I just started Truberbrook and I have a few thought on it where are all the save game slots other wise I am really enjoying it . there isn't a walk through so at least not a text walkthrough. Dianne

A few posts up on this thread, Ana provided this information:

This game is actually very easy and short - and there are no ways to 'die', so a single automatic save is quite enough smile

It looks exceptionally pretty though, and the music is nice as well - but the story and the gameplay are rather oversimplified unfortunately.
