Adventure for ipad or Android tablets. - 01/31/20 05:11 PM
Hello
I was once pretty active on this forum, but been away from adventure games for a while. I still have two unfinished games on my PC that I cant seem to work up the intrest is completing.
I have tried looking for traditional adventure games that can be played on an ipad ( or Android). Most games i found have been pretty disappointing, with lots of useless clicking to advance the story and very few puzzles.
Most get interupted by ads for other games. For example I tried Criminal Minds based on the TV show, and a detective game calles Criminal Case. Both games require you to revisit the same scene over and over to earn “stars” to advance the story. (Even if you’ve already met all the goals of a particular scene, you have to keep looking at the same stuff over and over to earn “stars”. Why would you keep looking after you already found whar you were looking for?)
One exception that I just started is called Murder Inn about a murder at a ski lodge during a family trip. Like a traditional adventure games you have to solve puzzles to advance the story. The first puzzle is figuring out the combination to the door at the Inn from clues in the scene. Once inside you have some puzzles to solve to find missing items needed to set a dinner table and place food items on the plates baed on food preferences of the dinners. So far so good, the only downside is game saves are done automatically, so if you haven’t solved all the puzzles in a given scene, and you plan to get back to it later, it starts that part of the game over from the beginning. There is also a hint system but you have to earn stars to use it. First 5 are free, you have to pay if you want more.
