Question about Miss Clue games

Question about Miss Clue games - 01/03/21 09:16 PM

I'd never heard of the Miss Clue/Jane Austen mysteries until a couple of days ago. I bought, downloaded and played Peril in Pemberley. There were some interesting aspects to it, but there was quite a bit of repetition, back and forth, meaningless chore work, and some hotspots were so small as to be almost unspottable. Are the next two games more focused and less repetitive? Would you recommend I play Cruise Most Deadly or Trials of Salem?

I haven't played any of these games. Hopefully some other members who have played them will be able to give you some input about this.

Hi all, Ive played them but awhile ago, so wish I could Help , They are like a spin-off of Nancy Drew .... Honestly I Loved Nancy Drew until she never returned with a new Game So I played Ms Clue not bad at all I think there are walkthroughs on You Tube/ ..... ms. Clue is alot of fun ...I liked it it really starting to fill the "Nancy" void

Update: I bought the next Miss Clue game, "Cruise Most Deadly." I really liked it. There was still a lot of to and fro and some rather frustrating moments, mainly involving machinery and directions, but it was long and kept my interest. Objects to pickup were easier to see than in Pemberley, there was lots of exploration and many puzzles, and the story was pretty good. It was much more like a Nancy Drew game.

I am now playing the last installment in the series, "Trials of Salem." It's an interesting tale but there isn't much sleuthing going on. It's more an interactive story with chores thrown in. Lots of chores.

Thanks for the info KatieB. I'm still in contemplating mode and also waiting for the next game to come out, which I guess was supposed to come out in December but didn't.

Their website says the new Miss Clue game will be coming out in January. We'll see. I'll play it though!
