Yeah, I got this notice the other day. But do I really want to pay this much for this game or not? Decisions, decisions! Thanks, Ana!

Thanks Ana!
Wait for a sale Drac, just like I will.

oldbroad, it's already 10% off for me. But that's still $26.99! Think I'll wait for a better sale, but I sure do want to get it!

No, 10% off that price is not cheap enough for me. I can wait.

So, granddaughter visiting from Colorado wants to play it, so I guess I'll be downloading tonight!

I just told Elsa it was all her fault I'm spending $30 on this game! She just laughed at me! They all know me well. Grandma, can we watch the rest of the Hunger Games movies? Sure, we can! Grandma, can you help me build my own gaming computer? Well, sure I can.

Definitely a grandmother worth keeping!

They seem to think so! Until they got into their teens and had jobs, I would fly them out here to spend a week on the farm with Grandpa and Grandma every summer and no brothers or sisters. They each got a turn.

How long will they be staying Draclvr? Will you have time to finish the game while they're here?

Re: Stray is Now Available - 07/25/22 04:20 AM
I'm sure Elsa won't have time to finish it. She played for about 3 hours tonight and I was getting such a kick out of her commentary! They are only here one more day. And tomorrow is supposed to not be 104°! Not sure what we'll be doing, but hopefully she can get more gaming time in.

Since it's been a week, I'll do a new post. Just some thoughts about Stray... I am loving it and totally addicted! However, even though it is touted as an adventure game - which it is - it is more of an action/adventure with a lot of running and - of course, you're a cat! - jumping. So far a few puzzles to figure out and I've acquired a sidekick - a tiny little drone named B-12. Altogether definitely living up to expectations!

Thanks for the update Draclvr. That "action/adventure" is one reason I am not in a big hurry to buy this and it also reduces the amount of money that I want to spend on the game. I don't like to spend as much on a game that I may not be able to play.
What happened with Elsa? Does she play games at home? Did she have to continue playing from home?

Another deal breaker may be the "checkpoint" save system. I truly hate that aspect, but I know it sometimes has to do with the game engine they use. The checkpoints are plentiful, but not plentiful enough for me. But I'm still really loving it. I wish there was a map though!
Elsa doesn't have a computer she can play this game on - it needs more than just a low end laptop for the graphics. However, I sent home a case and my older motherboard, graphics card etc. with them. I shipped a power supply, solid state drive and an OS on a flash drive out to them. Her older brother Frank thinks he can remember how to build it! It's been 3 years since he and I built his gamer, so we shall see! I send him instructions and I have a feeling he'll figure it out. Should be interesting if nothing else! Grandma is on standby!
