Indie developer/publisher Wadjet Eye Games has teamed up with Humble Bundle on Wadjet Eye: Sixteen Years of Adventure, a bundle of acclaimed point & click adventures from the studio's illustrious catalog.
Through February 1, pay what you want ($10 minimum) for Unavowed, Strangeland, the Blackwell mystery series, and more for Windows, Mac, and Linux -- a $129 value!
A portion of each bundle purchase supports JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. On January 24 at 9am PST / noon EST / 5pm GMT, studio founder Dave Gilbert will appear on JDRF's Twitch channel to discuss his career and play through one of his games with members of the JDRF Game2Give team.
A Brief History of Wadjet Eye Games
Wadjet Eye was founded in 2006 when then-amateur game maker Dave Gilbert released his first commercial adventure, The Shivah, about a disillusioned rabbi who comes into an unexpected inheritance.
A series of five supernatural mystery games followed -- Blackwell Legacy, Blackwell Unbound, Blackwell Convergence, Blackwell Deception, and Blackwell Epiphany -- starring a spirit medium who helps unsettled ghosts cross over with help from her spectral sidekick. Gilbert's most recent game, Unavowed, is an urban fantasy adventure set in the Blackwell universe.
Wadjet Eye also publishes games for other indie developers, including Wormwood Studios (Strangeland and Primordia), Technocrat Games (Technobabylon), XII Games (Resonance), and Joshua Nuernberger (Gemini Rue). Shardlight was developed and published by Wadjet Eye in collaboration with designer Francisco Gonzalez.
Though they were developed by different teams and have varied settings and themes, all of Wadjet Eye's releases are unified by their point & click adventure gameplay, pixel art graphics, and engrossing stories.
Along with these 13 games, bundle purchasers also get an exclusive 33% coupon for Wadjet Eye's latest release, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, an atmospheric folk horror game set in the isolated moors of rural Victorian England.
Speaking of Hob's Barrow...
In other news, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is coming to Nintendo Switch on January 25.
