Very exciting! If you have been paying attention, you will recall that I slipped up when we released MCF: Agent X for mobile phones I accidentally referred to it as MCF: MillionHeir...but after a day, edited it and removed the mistake...now you know why.

Will AgentX and Million-Heir ever be released for PC ?

Even as an online-only game it would be nice to be able to play them.

Ana, I did! I bought Cooking Mama, Brain Challenge and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. I'd already read reviews about Cooking Mama and Professor Layton but didn't know which Brain game to get. I'm really pleased with Brain Challenge and the reviews on Amazon say it's one of the best ones out there for DS. It's actually available for PC as well. I'm having a lot of fun with them but it's a tad difficult to get used to the stylus and the small size. Pretty much the games I picked up (and will pick up in the future) were only for DS with the exception of Brain Challenge. If there's any other "must play" games on DS-only, please let me know!

Linda, I don't think they will be released for PC the form they are in since they were developed specifically for mobile devices and DS. That is, it would probably be a bit too easy in its current form for PC but I do believe they are working on a 5th MCF.

Great games you picked out Misa! Prof Layton is one of my absolute favorites. I wish they would do Virtual Villagers for the DS.

If you want a totally easy relaxing game, try Animal Crossing...I had not bought it for the longest time because I thought that it was for kids...It is a great game, there's even an grownup gamers message board for it. Pogo Island is good too.

Misa, have you played Hotel Dusk ? Thats a great game, and an adventure too.
I do hope they release Millionheir in the UK .....

Jenny...can you not really play US games on your DS? I've imported games from Japan and the UK (picross specifically) and I've had no problem. I would gladly send you one.

I can play US games, but living in the UK means I cannot get hold of them, Phantomreader. Amazon USA will not supply the UK. Will wait & see if Play gets it & will holler & wail if not.

I too have a DS and loved playing Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk as well as Touch Detective. Pity that the Nancy Drew Game was lame.But!!!MillionHeir will more than make up for that. I am really looking foward to this one.

That's great a HOG for Nintendo DS, what will they think of next. I loved playing all my DS games and travel with them a lot, they keep me from getting bored in the car. This game will be on my buy list for September. Keep of the good work BigFish.

No, they will not come to PC. They are separate games that are made specifically for DS only. I guess you'll have to ask Santa for a DS.

I hope that if the DS version of MCF goes over well, that other BFG games will be in the works...I did see that peggle is coming out as well as at least 3 other hogs.

PhantomReader, I have quite a few DS games now. Also my DH's friends have a lot of games so we've been trading and borrowing between us all. The problem is, I never have time for much DS gaming with all my PC gaming.

I was also considering a Gamefly membership (like netflix but for console games) but there's actually not that many I'm interested in that I don't have or could borrow from a friend. I guess Gamefly would be great if you have kids.

Yes, Agent X is for cell phones and Millionheir is for DS. I demoed Agent X on my phone and it was a lot of fun!

If anyone has a Wii and has it hooked up to the internet, you can download a demo of MCF to your DS...I always forget to look see what demos are available, and just remembered to look this morning. What I've seen so far, I love!

The flyer from Best Buy in today's paper said this will be available in the store on Tuesday after 2pm.

Misa, I'm with you. Buying lots of games at one time saves money because you combine shipping. It's the responsible thing to do.

Gamestop told me tomorrow (tuesday) it will be out...I will call them as soon as they open to see if they got them in....probably a good thing, since I just got the new novel by Kathy Reichs...my favorite author, so I'll be up all night reading!

Hm, I fear mine probably won't come until next week. It says it's shipping on the 10th but who knows how backordered they are (this is great for BFG though). I ended up tacking on Murder in the Abbey and Outcry to my order.

Got mine today too and just got home. On my way to play but couldn't do anything until I checked in here first. Yayyyy. I am so happy.

I'm liking it very much so far. Only one minor complaint, which I wont spoil for those of you who havent played yet.

I saw a timer in one of the screenshots. Is there a relaxed mode option?

I am absolutley loving the game. You can play timed or relaxed,the screen is small but I think that most of the objects are big enough to find(with my reading glasses of course). You search the bottom screen section by section. Plenty of hints.Fun mini games. Good use of the DS interface. Some screens I found to be a little dark, but you can adjust the brightness level. I think BFG has done it again with another great product, and for the DS no less!

My order shipped this morning but because it's a weekend, it won't be here until Monday. So excited!

It arrived! I only played the tutorial but it's already so much fun!

I'm pretty far in the game and I just loving it! It's such a fun to interact with the objects (to grim the Ripper) or chicken and eg... With each case some objects are getting more difficult to see and require the special means, but it ads the interest. Now I've encountered the problem and can't figure out the reason. I found 2 objects from the list - a treble clef and a cotton swab, but clicking on them repeatedly didn't remove them. I don't know if it is my DS or what? Could anybody help me please?

I love the game. I played it for hours yesterday and can't remember what chapter I'm on. I love the different types of interaction. The story and feel of the game remind me a lot of Prime Suspects (somewhat lighthearted). Loved also seeing some Madame Fate thrown in. You've definitely got a winner here BFG Guy!

Springchicken, I don't know what scene you're on. Do you need to interact with them with the hand/scribble icon at all?

Misa, it is in Dusty Graves case, Nature Center scene. I used the X-Ray thing to find the cotton swab and used the hint to check it, I also used the hint to find a treble clef, which is very difficult to see. No interaction is possible.

Hm, I don't have any suggestions for you. Is there a way to restart a level? Maybe try that if there is a way.

I don't think there is a way to restart the level, you can only start from the last and only save or start a new game. I presume you haven't played this case yet? Could you let me know, when you play it? Thanks.

How are you liking it? Is it hard to find things on a small screen or did BigFish manage to port this genre into this platform with success?

I think BFG did an awesome job porting this to DS. The rooms are larger than one screen and you pan around looking for objects. The objects are hidden well but not impossible to see. Some are hidden and can only be seen using goggles (underwater) or UV light. Some objects you have to manipulate (e.g., flip the moon -- you have to use your stylus and the hand tool to literally flip it). Some scenes have those secret rooms (like in Madame Fate) for you to find objects in as well.

There are various minigames after each case that range from tile swap, jigsaw, spin/match (hard to explain that one but it's fun). There's also (minor) reference to Madame Fate, Prime Suspects and Felix makes a cameo. The feel of the game is very Prime Suspects (not to serious and humourous).

There is an online demo here: http://www.nintendo.com/mcf/ Just wait for it to load and then click on the DS. It will give you an idea of gameplay. To pan in the online demo, click on the screen and drag around.

I think they definitely have a winner here and can't wait for a sequel. I've tried some games ported from PC to DS and they were just awful (Myst on DS was awful). The developers on Millionheir did an outstanding job IMHO. Very pleased with it and worth the purchase of a DS and the game just to play!

You should borrow his DS! I will say that my right shoulder & arm hurts this morning from playing Millionheir.

I think I'm very close to the end, slowed down a little playing the other games. I have a lot of trouble finding the objects in some HOGs on PC and was worried about doing it on the small screen of DS. And now I think there is nothing to worry about. The graphics are beautiful and very clear, which makes it easier to see. There are many tricks used to hide the objects but also plenty of tools and generous hints to find them. I would say this HOG is different in general from the HOGs on PC and Big Fish did a great job introducing this genre into DS.

The DNA stops after level 10 and then there's fingerprinting after that which is fun.

I've just started! Read about it the other day here on GB. Checked out the site, and then downloaded the demo on Wii channel. What we saw was more than enough reason to give it a go. The lists (so far) are smaller than the previous Case File games I've played, but that's my only objection. The bottom screen 'magnified' view works very well! The new hand tool challenges are quite fun & the humor is the same sort of pun-nishment we've come to expect & love.

I started fingeprinting, thought it's the final stretch, but it's a new round of the hidden objects in the biggest amounts. This game is longer then HOGs on PC, don't you think, misa?

Springchicken, it is a very long game. I don't think it's longer than PC HOGs though. It might seem that it's longer because a lot of time is spent panning through different scenes.

Regardless I'm enjoying it and still not done.

I'm enjoing it too. My tactic is to keep it running untill a new DS game comes up.

Have you checked out the quick play feature? Gives you a random scene to play through without the storyline. This game is definitely worth the $20!

I haven't checked out the quick play yet, but I agree about the price, the game is definitely worth it, a lot of fun to play.

I finished it yesterday...think I'm going to play again and again and again...probably play until Cate West comes out.

I really enjoyed this game and I think that BFG did an excellent job. I wasn't sure how it would work on the ds screen, but I didn't find it difficult because of the screen size.
