I LOVE these adventures! However, I do not recall an option "play with object riddles on" before. What does that mean? Also, I have finished 1st round (with only one item remaining until I am sure it is safe to move on) w/o any coins appearing....is this normal for first round? Don't remember such from last episode.

"Play with object riddles on" means that occasionally some of the items listed will be in the form of a hint or clue for the object rather than the actual object: for example, it might say, "keeps the doctor away," and the item you are looking for is an apple.

I did play a few minutes of the demo and I believe that after a round or two the tutorial talks about the coins and then they begin to appear in the hidden object scenes.

How strange. I don't remember ever seeing that phrase and I have played all the Big City Adventures. With my memory, anything is possible tho. Thank you, Marian.....now back to the game!!!!!

I am too stubborn to use a hint coin....at The Port of Shanghai.....where the heck is the candle????? I have even gone to an on-line walk thru and none of those Port of Shanghai scenes list a candle! What the heck?

Maybe someone who has played the game can help you out. Maybe the candle doesn't show up in the other online walkthrough because the hidden objects are randomly generated for each player. Other than that, my only other suggestion is to upload a screenshot of the scene to PhotoBucket or some similar site, and post the link to it here and we can take a look at it.

I do know that some of the items in this game are really tricky to spot.
