The Last Dream

I started playing this whilst waiting for help from Big Fish (with the two Web of Deceit games) and knew nothing at all about it

But I'm very impressed !!

Mine is the "regular" edition with not much in-game help apart from a Hint button.
[I haven't looked to see if there's a CE edition.]
And you certainly have to use your imagination to solve some of the puzzles.
So all good for the old brain cells

I am finding it a very nice game indeed

The developer of this game is Specialbit - the same developer who brought us Haunted Hotel: Charles Dexter Ward CE/SE, a game I like very much. I haven't gotten to The Last Dream yet, but it is in my Purchase History. I look forward to it.

Another game of theirs released last year on Big Fish is Stormhill Mystery: Family Shadows.

It looks like there's a "Developer's Edition" available elsewhere, but I am not sure what that entails.

Good to hear you like the game. I have it in my Steam library and I have Stormhill Mystery in my Big Fish library, both unplayed.

I played The Last Dream in 2016 and really liked it! Realistic graphics and pesky minis, just the way I love a game to be. I was sorry it wasn't a longer CE. I played Stormhill last year, gave it my highest rating and it is slated for Replay.

I have other games already downloaded to play but you've got me interested. Downloading now!

I finished the game and really, really liked it. So went to look at "Specialbit Studios" website to see what else they might have made.

The one that appealed to me the most (that I haven't already bought) was called "The Wild Case" .... but I think it's still in development ??

So I'm hoping Big Fish will offer it when it's completed
[ And I've discovered I already own Stormhill Mystery : Family Shadows. Apparently I bought it months ago !! So I'm going to play that next ]

Specialbit's most recent release is Angelo and the Daemon. You can read about it here. Ana also announced it when it arrived at Steam. I think it will probably land on Big Fish eventually.

Apparently the end of the game says something like, "see you in the sequel!" This is probably why it sounded like the game might not be complete. I haven't played the game so don't know anything more than that.

Yes .... If "Angelo and the Deemon" becomes available at Big Fish I will probably get that too

The Developers Edition has a short extra chapter as the wife dreaming. Does the Big Fish version have that? From what I saw in one of the BF reviews, it looks like this might be the only difference. Maybe a couple of more mini games also, going by the description on BF and what I see in my game.

I am not positive about this info though!!

That information sounds right to me, oldbroad. The Big Fish version probably doesn't have the extra chapter.

I've looked on Big Fish and the three games mentioned that I don't yet have (Sonya, Island and Inbetween) are all available there.
So I just need to wait for a another SALE now !!

I don't have Island but I do have the other two. (Haven't played them yet.)

I played a little of "Island : The Lost Medallion" but it has LOTS of hidden object scenes and many of the objects are extremely tiny.
[Probably it's an older game ??]
Anyway, that's not what I enjoy !!

So I moved on to "Inbetween Land" which is shaping up to be very nice and much more my type.
I'm really liking this one

Island: The Lost Medallion was released in 2010 and Inbetween Land was released in 2012, I believe. I'm happy you are liking Inbetween Land.

So only a two year gap ?? But a big difference in format !!

Finished "In-between Land" and enjoyed it very much. Despite some pretty tricky mini games.

I started Contract with the Devil last night and it's not bad. Have you played it? So far I did use the hint button 3 times in 2 different HOG scenes though. The first one, I just didn't see the item; but the second one, I had tried both items (one of them multiple times) and neither worked until after I used the hint button. Fussy, fussy, I guess!

I just looked at my Purchase History and Contract with the Devil is there. I did not even remember I had it - I must have picked it up with a free game code at some point. I'm hopeless!

I started "Detectives United III : Timeless Voyage" today and have certainly enjoyed the small portion I've played. So pretty happy
