Big Fish Website - 08/10/20 11:20 PM

Will somebody PLEASE tell Big Fish Games that their 'New and Improved' website is a Huge Mistake and a Bad Idea?

I ALWAYS opt to return to the classic site. Always.

Actually, not 'somebody' - everybody tell them. Y'all chime in. Pleeeease. Do it here on GB; and do it there on BFG.

I only use the classic site myself. Unfortunately the main page caters to phone/tablet.

It probably won't change anything because things are increasingly going towards phone/tablet, but if folks want to voice their opinions about this, they should write to Big Fish Customer Support. There's also a Big Fish fans Facebook page where it could be discussed. Unfortunately the Big Fish chat and game forums are no more.

Totally Agree ... I Dont like that, so-called "New and Improved" its not new and it certaintly is NOT improved ...All I see is a HUGE picture that says "Play-Me" Not good I would have Loved the classic site to remain because I can see what I missed What I can play and that tomorrows game peek for customers like myself is Awesome ...... So thumbsdown to New and Improved and thumbsup to Classic Site PLEASE leave it alone ...

Leeana, the classic site is still there, you just need to switch to it. It's only one click away.

It's literally one click to return to classic, less than one second. I don't understand the issue I guess. If you want to give them a reasonable solution, ask them if they can add a feature for personal settings on how you want to view as a default when you are signed in. They will be much more receptive to a compromise rather than just a flat out eradicate request. You can't make everyone happy. And I too agree that the classic is much easier to see what you want.

Yes, it's one click so not a big deal to me. But your suggestion as a compromise is excellent.

Sounds pretty unanimous! Ana has a great suggestion. Give us a setting for the default view.
They should have a needlepoint sampler on the wall: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" idea

Hi, Tally Ho!

I bookmarked the classic site, and the bookmark takes me directly there. If I access Big Fish from Gameboomers, I just click on the "classic site" link.

It's just one click, I don't understand what the problem is.

If only all our problems in the world today could be solved so quickly and easily!

I also have the classic site bookmarked.

Because that's not the end of it.
You can start at
https://www.bigfishgames.com/pc-games/

but from there you can still be sent to useless tablet-oriented webpages.
Never mind that the whole site is uglier and harder to navigate than it was 10 years ago.

Say you liked a game and try to search for another game in the same series.
If Big Fish no longer sells the PC version of one of the games in the series because it doesn't work reliably with Windows 10, the link often sends you to the webpage for a tablet version, which has no chance whatever of working on a PC.

It is annoying. I wish they had a completely separate website for tablet-related stuff, because they seem incapable of creating a search that provides links for ONLY PC-oriented games when you're using a PC to look for games.

If you don't mind my interjecting here, if you use the Big Fish link that Marian posts or the Big Fish Logo on top of the forum and make a purchase, GameBoomers gets a small percentage. It is minimal and by no means pays for all the hosting fees etc, but every penny helps. I'll see if I can change the page they default to. but it would be greatly appreciated if when purchasing you use a GB link. It is literally our only source of income.

I didn't realise that, BET.
I'll scrub my direct link then and go to BF via GB 👍👍👍

I remember that information from when I mentioned that I used to buy from Interact but through the Just Adventure site. Ana set me straight wink

Thank you so much Mad! hearts

oldbroad, Yes, interactCd was another of our affiliates. The good old days! We do greatly appreciate you going through GB. BigFish is all we have left. I get tons of requests for casino and slots links but that isn't happening!

Re: Big Fish Website - 08/12/20 12:50 PM

BET - thanks for listening. When I go to Big Fish, it's usually via the link that Marian includes in her announcements which, if my fuzzy memory serves correctly, goes directly to the page offering the game for sale or preview. But sometimes I use the Blue link at the top of our pages. I an confident you will have no problem changing the link to the classic site. We will no longer feel we've been shanghaied. bravo

okeedokee...I believe I got it! I changed the link on top of the forum to take you to the classic site. If there are any glitches please let me know!

Make sure you refresh the page to have the changes take effect if you had the forum open already.
