Did anyone else have a problem accessing the map in the bonus game? I picked this one up in a sale a couple of weeks ago and just got around to playing it. It's a REALLY long game and I was thoroughly enjoying it but, in the bonus game, there's a lock on the map and the only map that's available is for the main game.

Hi Susan, I haven't played this one yet, but looking through the BF reviews I see at least two people talking about glitches they experienced and they both appear to involve the map, although not in the same way that you describe. Sorry you ran into this problem.

Thanks for checking out the reviews on Big Fish. I didn't think to read them since normally glitches aren't mentioned and I enjoyed the demo. This is when I really miss the Big Fish forums because, on the rare occasion when I experienced a glitch, at least one other person did as well and sometimes posted a workaround. I would only contact Big Fish as a last resort.

I forgot to mention that I also clicked on one of the locations on the map while playing the bonus game and ended up trapped in the main game with no way to get back to the bonus game, I had to start over again because I had only been playing the bonus game for a couple of minutes and wanted to see how the game ended. Did I mention that this is a LONG game

With the help of the Guide since I couldn't use the map, I just finished. It really is an excellent game but, if you do buy it, DO NOT click on any map locations while playing the Bonus Game. Hopefully, the developers will come out with an update.

You had to play the WHOLE game over again or just restart the bonus section?

Hi Susan, I agree that normally glitches aren't mentioned in the reviews but of late more and more people seem to be "reviewing" the game by talking about any technical issues they had with it, which I really don't care for - I want to hear about the game, not about some problem that someone had that might not even be a common issue. Anyway, that's why I took a look at the reviews when you mentioned your problem. I would much rather these reviewers would write to Technical Support, but maybe that's just me. I miss the game forums too for the same reason - that was a good place for people to discuss any technical issues they might be having.

Someone else told me that this game is really long. Apparently they were not exaggerating.

oldbroad, you're welcome for the tip. I had to play the whole game again because, once I clicked on one of the locations on the map and ended up back in the main game, the Bonus game disappeared. It didn't take me quite as long the second time, though, since I knew what I was doing

Marian, the only time I read the reviews is if I'm on the fence after playing the demo but, since I really enjoyed this one, I didn't bother. ICAM that when I read a review, I want to hear about the game, puzzles and HOs. Everyone's computer configuration is different so technical issues may only affect a few people. Of course, those who never use the map wouldn't even know there was a technical issue

Whoever told you the game was long is definitely not exaggerating. I'm guessing it took me close to 8 hours to finish both the main game and the Bonus game. Despite the glitch, I would recommend it. I bought it in the last 65% off sale.

I am one who rarely uses the maps but I made a notation on my spreadsheet not to use it during the bonus chapter. I would not like to have to replay the whole game but probably would, just as you did

Hi, oldbroad!

I use the maps if I can't remember where certain items or tasks are located or if I'm stuck on what to do next because they indicate where there are active tasks. I was surprised when I clicked on the map in the Bonus game and 3 locations from the main game were available. Why I clicked on one of them I don't know, but I did and the Bonus game disappeared. At that point, I had 2 choices. Replay the main game (which originally took me about 6 hours) or contact BF Customer Service. Since I was really enjoying the game and wanted to see how it ended, I opted to replay it. Hopefully, the developers are working on an update.

*sigh* I was hoping to come here and find out how to restart the Bonus Chapter. I too clicked on the map and now can't finish the bonus chapter. I've already restarted the whole game, but I was still hopeful that someone had discovered how to get out of this mess.

Oh well. C'est la vie. :-/

So, apparently the issue was never fixed. Sorry to hear that you have to replay the main game. I still haven't gotten to this one.

I am sorry to hear that you had this issue, DelennDax7. I have not heard of any workarounds/fixes for this, unfortunately.

I have also heard that there is going to be a sequel to this game called The Holy Grail.
