Steam Hacked

Hi guys,

If you use Steam to play games, you need to change your password and watch your credit card statements closely (which you should do anyway) as they were hacked. Click here to see their announcement.

Yikes. This probably explains what happened to Becky; she had fraudulent activity on the credit card she used for Steam.

They made a point of saying they had no evidence that credit numbers were taken, but.....better safe than sorry. <L4L shakes head angrily>

I changed my password.

Guybrush, I searched forever on where to change the password. How did you do it?

I have Steam downloaded because I did end up buying The Rockin Dead (on CD) and needed Steam to activate. I have never ordered or downloaded anything from Steam though and don't have any credit card information in there. Would I need to change my password?

Change it anyways oldbroad to be safe. I used Paypal on my one purchase from them so I should be okay too but I changed it to be safe.

Remember that even if they do get ahold of your password, Steam Guard will still protect you.
