DS: LoA a no-go with Win 7, right?

Legends of Aranna OS compatibility tops out with WinXP, doesn't it? A friend asked me to suggest a first-time RPG for him to try, and that's my first thought, but he's running Win 7 (which I'll be upgrading to soon myself). Is there no way to play Dungeon Siege and LoA with Win 7?
