Game name

Ive just bought a lappy with a bit more Umph so I can play a few things that are a bit more medern(ish).
Anyway, a few years ago there was a game that was set (I think) in 1930s America. You played a cop - there was lots of driving around solving crimes. For the life of me I cant remember the name. Ring any bells for anyone?

A word of advice, don't play through all the missions at once. Otherwise you'll get bored of the game quite fast. Evan Angry Joe says that.
