to the new and improved GameBoomers!

You may have noticed some changes the last few days. Here are some things you need to know:

Your Private Messages are now accessed via the envelope left of your name on the upper right red bar.

Your preferences and profile can be accessed by clicking on your avatar name on the upper right red bar.

We switched servers and it's located in a different time zone. You can update the settings in Preferences by clicking on your avatar name on the upper right red bar.

We are now on a secured server and you will see an https instead of http on our url.

If you have any questions, please post here. I will update this top post as needed.

I haven't figured out how to adjust the time. I thought I chose the correct time zone, but the times being shown on others posts don't make sense. I'd appreciate some help.

Sparkle, you choose the time on the list that is matches your time. New York time would work for you. You want to be UTC-5 to match where you live.

Thank you. That seems to have worked. I chose America Kentucky/Louisville at first which should have worked? Maybe I neglected to click "Submit".

There sure are a lot of time choices. It took me awhile to find Chicago. I thought I was going to have to use Indiana which isn't always the same, but is close enough. It was always an hour off for me before. I thought that was just 'how it was'.

Changed my time zone and all looks great!

I like the changes! I have to laugh because I was confused as to why some people have a "OP" after their names only to realize that it must stand for something like "Original Poster"

I have a question how do you look at your previous posts?

Thank you so much...i must admit at first i found it a bit odd but i'm slowly getting use to it and i'm actually liking it now..

I clicked on my "picture icon" to the left of one of my posts and that option then showed up

Like Mad stated, one way is to click on your avatar, and there will be a "Show Posts" under it. Click it.
The other way is to click on your name, upper right and the # of posts you made will be on it. If you click on the # your posts will appear.

Very Nice Love it ...Thank You Ana and Mad you do so much ...I love you my gameboomer friends, I hardley do not acknowledge who I should be and Im very sorry for that but know that Ive been here and was Glad to have known alot of Friends who are still here and some who have departed , like my cat milo who is still my avatar ... also, a Huge Thanks to the help and answers to all my questions and needs ... everything you guys do here is amazing and very well appriciated so Thank You !!!!!

Leeana sorry about Milo. My kitty Sweet Potato had cancer and we lost her over 2 years ago and I still miss her.

Im so sorry Kaki, I miss my Milo too ...but you know what I will bet you that Sweet Potato welcomed my lil Milo and they are both Playing in Cat n Doggie Heaven , he was put to sleep October 17, 2018 .... so its fresh the pain But like I say he is having a Great time with your cat love them

I think my favorite thing so far is that UP arrow at the bottom of the page on the right.

Is anyone else having problems with spoiler tags not showing up?
You can click in the blank space and the spoiler will appear, but no indication that it's there to click on unless you already know. There's no gold box saying "Ouch my eyes."

For example:

I see a "Click to show content box", Jenny.

I DO hope these "time outs" are temporary. Had trouble last night and just now.

I also see the "click to show content" but the dark on dark may be hard to see.

Yes, there is practically no difference between the black box on a black background -- at least not with my monitor. If I didn't know it was there I wouldn't see it. I've also had the "time outs" which I think are due to tweaking the upgrade.

Also I'm not able to connect to the mail server. I get the message:
Looked up server01.gameboomers.com...
and it never connects.

Jenny, post in the Boardroom and David will check in.

oldbroad, the website is still being worked on, there will be little hiccups.

Everything seems to be working for me. I'm getting use to the changes. Leeana that is a comforting thought!

Right now I'm getting thrown out of Gameboomers after every reply I make .... with a "Web Page Has Expired" message !!
Hope this is one of the "temporary whilst getting tweaked" glitches ??
