Well no.
But wasn't the Thanksgiving tradition in the USA started by the Pilgrims from England think

It was indeed! I just wondered if you had some similar national day. I know Canada has a Thanksgiving type day in October to celebrate the harvest and blessings of the previous year.

There is an annual Harvest Thanksgiving service held in many Churches, Draclvr.
But, to my knowledge, no big family celebrations take place here - such as those held in the USA smile

But, I have no doubt that you have other opportunities to get together and eat yourselves into oblivion!

Just curious...anyone 'celebrate' Black Friday, day after Thanksgiving, supposed first official day of Christmas shopping? i don't but I know the news and some folks around here have made that part of the tradition.

Oh, have no doubts AT ALL because we DO !! rotfl

"Black Friday" is an import from the USA, butterflybabe. [I just ignore it, myself.]
And celebrations for Halloween are, too.
[ When I was younger there was Bonfire Night and that was IT wink ]
