Re: October 11th at the Diner - 10/13/20 04:16 PM

Spent 4 hrs at vet speciality center with my dog on Saturday, expecting to have an MRI done. Not so fast. They did some pre-tests there, and his regular vet will do a follow-up on the heart worm he had a few years ago. After that, back to vet center for MRI. Couldn't get either done for until end of Oct and beg of Nov. Initial diagnosis is horner's syndrome which generally signifies something else, possibly neurologic going on. . For now, he's still a happy dog, eating and playing with no sign of anything wrong.

Right now listening to people washing outside of my home, which it sorely needed! Hopefully, all work association hired to get done will happen before nasty weather hits. Then just need to get other non-association related work done so I can start using and enjoying my front porch, next spring! Yahoo my home starting to shape up! Can't wait to be able to sit outside and chat friends! yes

Temps are a little cooler but definitely enjoy seeing the sunshine! I actually got an October sunburn on my forehead from sitting in the parking lot at the vet center lol

Ready to play some games. Have a good one!

Re: October 11th at the Diner - 10/15/20 02:31 PM

Good morning Connie. Good morning everyone. wave2

Connie I'll have the biscuits and gravy please, and thank you. bravo

Gerry I'd like some of your fantastic coffee, please. wink

It's a dark morning here. We broke into the 90s yesterday, but today is supposed to stay in the 70s, so it's cloudy and very breezy outside. It feels great!

I don't have many plans for the day. I'll play it by ear.

I went into Walgreens a few days ago to get a flu shot. I told them I was a veteran, and she told me that the govt. didn't contract them to do flu shots this year for vets. I said no problem just charge medicare. She said they can't charge medicare for vets, because medicare would make them charge the VA which they couldn't do. WHAT?? crazy

I was very frustrated after that.

I searched on line for a location and discovered that the emergency clinic here in Calera (I think), does the flu shots for vets. thumbsup

I never got a flu shot last year because the VA clinic down in Texas was not giving them when I was there, and I never went looking for another location, but I figure it may be more important to do so this year. razz

Connie I'm sorry Robert lost his job. He's not alone. Many people are losing jobs. I pray he finds another very soon. yes

Mary still sending thoughts and prayers for you and your hubby. hearts

L4L is it cooling down for your runs yet? I sure hope it is. yes

Soot we're getting close to the weekend. May your days be a breeze for the remainder of the week. thumbsup

Ana I hope it's warmer for you, and your day is a lite one. kissy

Family I wish you a great day.

Have a fantastic day everyone.

Thank you for the well wishes for hubby. He's now had blood work done and is booked to have X-rays done on November 3rd.

I'm waiting on a food delivery. I really miss going out for shopping but I can't risk it. I know many others are in the same boat.

Take care guys!

Fantastic Friday ya'll puppy

Yep, Joe, big cool down here. Barely making it into the 70's today. We've been in the mid 80's. It was 62 when I ran this morning. The coolness encouraged me to keep moving rotfl Soot and I got our flu shots from our doc. Do you have a local one?

I woke up with a yukky head. Haven't had one for awhile. Fairly sure it's just allergies though.

Connie, so sorry about Robert.

Mary, glad hubby has x-rays scheduled. I hope they find an answer soon. I'm glad you can get groceries delivered. Daughter does that a lot, but I don't think we can where we live. Hubby is our delivery system.

Howdy everyone and welcome to the weekend!! welcome

This morning it was c' c' c' COLD here. penguin

I'm taking care of Beau for a while because his mama lost her dad yesterday. frown

We went for a very brisk walk at the park. We didn't go until after 10:00. I was waiting for it to warm up just a bit. razz

After that I got in a workout, and then I fried some fresh fish that my neighbor gave me for lunch. Mmm Mmm good! bravo

The rest of my day will be walking on my treadmill for an hour and then some R&R with the pups. wink

I wish everyone here a great weekend. thumbsup

Hi ya Joe,

So sorry Beau's mom lost her dad. What a blessing you are being by keeping him. I waited for it to warm up before I headed out today too, but that meant I was Starving when I finally got to lunch. Will have to rethink that strategy.

Leaving for my run later gave me time to make crock pot stew for supper tonight. All I need to add is a little corn bread and we are in business. Not sure what else is up for the day.

Have a great one wavegirl
