Malware warning when installing a game from DVD rom

I am trying to install The Film Maker but keep getting a message that one of the files is malicious. It says that a file in STDRT.EXE, IDP program A406048, category downloader contains malware and needs to be isolated in the virus vault. Is this a genuine threat or just my AVG picking up a file it doesn't recognise? Thanks.

Sounds like a false positive. You can tell AVG to ignore the file, or just disable auto protect when you install the game.
