Hard drive - 03/12/15 07:24 PM
Last night I was playing World of Warcraft and smelled something hot. I shut down my game and ran my Speccy program that showed my hard drive running hot-137F. I have never noticed this before but that doesn't mean it hasn't been happening. Should a game like this make it run hot or is this something I need to check on? Right now it is 110F.

I'd wouldn't wait too long, that drive is running a bit on the warm side. The 110F reading is just at the top of the safe side.
Do you have a drive bay fan? If you do, check it to make sure it's working.

I opened up the tower. the only fans I can see is one under the power unit, one on the processer and I think one on the graphics card. Nothing in the bay or even in the back of the case. I have had this pc for 3-4 years with no overheating. Tomorrow I will take it to the shop.
Thank you InlandAZ,
