Can't install a Windows Update for IE 11

Everytime I try to install the update it fails with the following error message "WindowsUpdate_80092004" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
Which doesn't help much googling it, since it refers to those that has IE 9. Is it possible to fix the problem?

Can you download directly from Microsoft website here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/internet-explorer.aspx - I have found that this works most of the time.

This update didn't want to get installed that way either "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3038314)".

This seems to be a known problem.

The next to last paragraph has links to two threads about the problem at Microsoft, however the article says that no solution has worked for everyone.

Kinda weird that MS hasn't pulled the update despite acknowledging the problem. Anyway, thanks for the help.

If you install this update KB3038314 you will have another problem. If you reset internet explorer to default settings you will not be able to add search providers like google using the internet explorer gallery Internet Explorer Gallery until you remove this update.
