Echoes of the Past

Can't get the game to run on my W7 machine. I have downloaded it and managed to extract 'echoes of the past.exe' - but all that I can get is the introductory screenshot of the Egyptian wotsit holding up some sort of tool but then the screen goes dark. The music background seems to continue playing, though I did turn the sound down as I found it irritating after several minutes.

Should I have put this into Glitches?

Does anyone know if this game will run on Windows 7?

If it will not, I will stop trying to make it work.

It seems to download OK and it does something in order to get the first screen up - showing the Egyptian with the strange mask on but then there is nothing thereafter. The blank screen seems to stay there, with the repetitive music and I can do nothing with the mouse.

I have to ctr/alt/delete out and a brief few millisecond screen flashes up, seeming to show three rectangles which I presume relate to the game - perhaps START or LOAD or SAVE ? - but it is too brief to be able to make out the legend in the boxes, and certainly too short to click on anything.

Bit frustrating.

The problem wouldn't be Windows 7.
See if you can contact the developer over at the AGS website.

Unfortunately the name of the game is the same as a casual game series, so using Google or any other search engine is kind of useless.

I made it work, but I am not sure how.
I can save my game, but I can't seem to save the games to desk top, but I can get through to the saves by a strange route.

But, I can get on with it.
Perhaps I will find some way to streamline the operation. Hope that it will load tomorrow!!
