Under A Killing Moon from GOG - Start Game????

I just downloaded this game from GOG and installed it. When I double click I get a tiny picture and then a fractured beginning to start a new game etc. Obviously I need to make some changes to my computer maybe. I am lost - I thought the copy would run without my changing anything.

Using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and TV at HDMI as monitor.

Have you tried hitting alt + enter? That should take you from a windowed mode to a full-screen mode in DOSBox. That works for me with a regular LCD computer monitor.

The size of the game on a 35 inch TV screen is 8 1/2 inches by 6 1/4 inches. All the alt - enter does is move it from the center to the upper left of screen.
The numbering for size with DosBox is 1-9. 7 is the largest (8 1/2 x 6 1/4).
I want it big enough for Lela to see who is sitting in a recliner behind me (a little over six feet away from the screen).

cHECK YOUR dosbox.conf and see what output= and fullresolution= values are.

640 X460 Resolution. Don't see or know where to look for output.

It probably looks something like this

fullscreen=false
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original
output=surface
etc.

I think that's the default for DOSBox, though GOG may have made a few changes.

fullresolution= is the resolution of your monitor
windowresolution= is the resolution of the window

There's a YouTuber "philscomputerlab" who did a whole series of "Tweak Guides" about making GOG games look better than the GOG defaults.

The one on ***Space Quest 1 and 2*** might be a good one to start with. As long as you make a backup of your game's dosbox.conf file before tweaking, you can't mess it up too badly.

It took me a long time with my strange vision, but I did it. I now have a 15 inch by 20 inch game screen.

These were the changes to the gog.com file named dosboxTex3.conf with the Under A killing Moon download & install.

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1920x1080
windowresolution=800x600
output=opengl
aspect=true
scaler=normal3x
