A Real Problem Long running script

Within the last 2 mos I have started getting slowdown on loading web pages and finally get a message about 'long running script'. What is this and how can it be fixed.. Win7 homepremium 64bit, IE 11.
Forgot to mention have ccleaner, malwarebytes,Norton and use them.

I believe the fix is the same if you are running IE 11. But since you are running IE 11, you might also look at this link. IE and long running script errors drive me nuts! It's why I no long use IE at all.
