GOG - 12/09/17 05:37 PM

Hi All
I hope this is the right forum for this. I haven't been to gog. in a long time and decided to go there and see what's new. I went to the site, but could not find where to login. I know that they have made changes to their site since I was last there. When I go to the site, I cannot find where to login at. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

When I go to the GOG website, across the top is Store, About, Community, Support and then in bright purple "Sign In."

I have store, about, community, support a shopping cart, and a search icon, no bright purple sign in. I can't figure out what is going on

That's odd. Have you tried using a different web browser to see if you get the same result?

I had a page the other day that wasn't displaying properly - I tried a different web browser, and it worked.

If your laptop has Windows 10, it is not using IE - it is using the Edge browser. IE is only available on older operating systems.

Have you tried rebooting your Window 7 computer? If IE is still not displaying correctly, I would try another browser such as Firefox or Chrome.

Well not to argue with you but I am using ie11 in windows 10,(at least the icon says it is) I don't use Edge as it is too busy for me (maybe I am telling my age). I have compared settings and can't find any discrepencies. Any way Thank you for your help. If I figure out what is wrong I will post what I find incase someone else runs into this problem

Re: GOG - 12/09/17 10:42 PM

There IS a way to bring up IE in Windows 10, but it's hidden. I actually have it on my Windows 10 taskbar in case I need to help someone who is still using IE on Windows 7. I'm sure Edge is a fine browser and it's certainly far more secure than IE, but I just can't warm up to it. I use Firefox on my Windows 10 computer. And the more I use the new Firefox Quantum version, the more I like it.

One more thing to try on your Windows 7 computer is to clear the browser cache and see if that helps.

If your browser (or an add-on) is blocking scripting, you won't see the purple "SIGN IN" option to the right of "SUPPORT."

There is a 2012 thread about problems with IE at GOG.com here

Thank you Draclvr and Jenny 100, I had forgot to check about scripting, will check it. Thanks again
