Signing into BF

Signing into BF - 03/03/20 12:53 AM

My computer automatically updated Windows 10. Since then BF has charged me with 2 games - one of which should have been free, and I can't even play either one AND now they're saying they can't sign me in! I've tried everything they have suggested and nothing works, I can't play either game (still shows "buy" by both. Received an email confirmation of which I forwarded to them.

Does anyone have a phone number or let me know what to do next? Have been a member for many years and purchased many games. I am at a loss! Please help! Thank you.

P.S. Am thinking of changing the meaning of BF to BS!

There is a link to a contact page here

If you install the demo, is there any option for "already purchased" (or words to that effect) on the Game Manager page for the game? They updated their Game Manager recently so the option may be in a different place than I'm remembering it.

If you log into your account, does it list the games on your purchased games page?
If so, you should be able to download an installer for the full game there.

Some people have reported problems with Big Fish games after a Windows 10 update, but there shouldn't be anything that can't be fixed.

You might have to re-install the Big Fish Game Manager after installing a new version of Windows 10 (as opposed to just a security update). There are more suggestions here:

As for being charged for a game that should have been "free" that sounds like a different problem. Are you sure you typed in the code correctly? Did you check the amount you'd be charged before you clicked "purchase"? Usually Big Fish will give you a code for another game if they made a mistake.

Thanks, Jenny. No, there is no option for already purchased. Secondly. they won't let me "sign in." Yes, I typed everything correctly, and as I mentioned I got an email receipt for both games! I will try reinstalling Game Manager. Thank you for all of your help. This is driving me crazy!

If you're not able to log into the Big Fish website with your web browser using your current password you'll have to go through the procedure to reset the password.
Go to the Big Fish website, click Account, and click the words "Forgot your password?" under the Sign In button.

Thank you. It appears ok now.

I'm glad it's behaving now.
You should be able to get a credit for another game if you were overcharged.

Jenny: I received an email from BF stating they had charged me full price for 2 games, which i can't play. I wrote them enclosing a copy of their email also stating if they don't resolve the matter I would have to dispute the charges on my credit card. No reply yet. They did give me a free game code, but to me, I am still being charged for 2 games I can't play!

Maybe I missed it, but why can't you play these games?

Laurette, you said "It appears OK now."
I assumed you were talking about your Big Fish Game Manager -- and it was working properly after reinstalling.
To me "OK" means it logs in properly and displays all your purchased games properly.
Are you saying it's not "OK" after all?

Also, you said "They did give me a free game code."
That's the best you'll ever get from them. I've never known them to give refunds -- only codes so you replace an overcharge or non-functional game with a game that works for you. If you dispute the charges, you can probably forget ever buying another game from Big Fish. It doesn't seem to me that would be worth it. You'd probably regret doing that after you're done being angry and want another game.

If the reason the games aren't playing is because they aren't activating through the Game Manager and the demo time is expired, then you need to find out why they aren't activating. The first thing to do is log into your Big Fish account using a WEB BROWSER (a web browser is one of those things like Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Opera, etc. -- not the Game Manager). After logging in, go to Account, and check to see if those two games are listed in your Purchase History. If they're not there, you need to ask Big Fish why they're not in your Purchase History after you bought them. If they are in your Purchase History, you can try downloading installers for those two individual games through your web browser. On my Account, the installer is on the "Order Date" page rather than the "Game Title" page. The installers should start up your Game Manager and force it to install the full versions of the games.

Dradvr: One game says "installation failed" and both say "buy". I don't want to jeopardize my purchasing abilities. per Jenny; my husband also said the same thing,

Finally, it appears (crossed fingers) that I've been able to play all my purchased games! I really enjoy playing BF games and believe this problem was mostly due to Windows 10 update,
