Syberia 3 Ice Breaker Machine

Hi Guys

I am playing this game for a second time as a reminder of how it ended prior to the release of Syberia 4, my problem is that I have to start the Icebreaker machine, I have checked the walkthrough to make sure I am doing it right and after turning the wheel counter clockwise to engage the pipe the next step is to press the red button, but nothing happens, I have checked with the steam forum and this seems to be a bug, (which is strange as I completed the game when it first came out) the steam forum does not give a solution of how to fix this apart from one person suggesting to just uninstall the game and forget it

Has anyone come across this bug and is there actually a fix for it, I would be very grateful if anyone has the answer

I don't think it is a bug.
I think it's a bad and clumsily-designed puzzle, possibly timed.
So no fix.
There will never be a fix.

Microids has some saved games here. I believe one of them is for the ice breaker machine.

Hi Guys

I solved the problem, there is a cover over the button (Doh) found it on a Youtube video, its very hard to see, as per the walkthrough I checked it does not mention a cover over the button, one for the future if anyone else plays the game and is stuck at this point

It is still a bit of a fiddle using the mouse to complete the puzzle though but I got there
