Keep having to log in

Please refresh my memory about how to possibly fix this. Isn't there something I need to clear out somewhere? Some cache or something? I have had to log in four times today, each time checking the box to keep me logged in.

I have had the same problem since yesterday, and I think it has to do with a recent Firefox update. I tried using GameBoomers yesterday with Chrome instead and the problem no longer occurred. If you want to try clearing your cookies (which did not work for me), then just click on your name in the upper right-hand corner (next to the envelope for private messages), and then choose cookies. The next page you can click on expire cookies. As I said, this did not work for me. Hopefully this problem will be fixed in the next Firefox update. I thought I would wait a week or so and see what happens.

I use the Edge browser and have had no problems.

Thanks Marian. I was wondering if it was a problem that others were having also. I did look at the cookies thing but hadn't done it. I am not having this problem with GOG, only GameBoomers as far as I can tell. I am starting to dislike Firefox which always seems to be doing something weird. I will probably try to wait it out, as you are.

Yes, other sites are not giving me this problem. Up until now, I have not had Firefox do anything weird - and I have used it for many years. I will post here if/when things are working properly here again.

Well, by weird I guess I just mean it's probably updating or updated and pops up a second tab which annoys me and makes me think something is wrong. (Just me, and annoy is kind of strong way to describe it but...)

Several days ago, for a few days in a row, every time I booted up my computer Edge would open which also annoyed me as I don't know why it was doing that.

I was definitely the same way with Edge, oldbroad. I just couldn't make myself warm up to it. But then Firefox did something with passwords that was a total deal breaker for me and I forced myself to stay with Edge, no matter what. When they switched the architecture of Edge to Chrome, now I like it a lot.

The same thing is happening to me. I have to log in every single time since a few days. I use Firefox.

Mikael, try using another browser such as Chrome or Edge until Firefox is fixed.

I'm using Firefox and it hasn't happened to me.

There must be one or more other variables, then, besides the web browser. Thus far no one who does not use Firefox is reporting this issue, though.

I am on Edge and no problems

Just tried 3 times with Firefox and had to log in every time. Went back to Edge and no problems.

There have been strange things going on with Firefox in the last days. In the last update, the whole interface (menus, dialogue windows, and websites where no colors have been specifically set), turned from black text on white background to white text on dark background, with no option to change that. Exactly like the GameBoomers interface, come to think of it. This happened on my main desktop computer and my laptop, but not on my wife's computer, for some reason.

I haven't had that problem but the other night nothing would load at all and as it was bedtime anyway, I just shut it down. The next day it was fine except for this log-in stuff.

For the last couple of hours I have stayed logged into GameBoomers after having gone to other websites as well as having closed out of the browser. It looks like this issue may have resolved itself for now, at least on my computer.

Interesting. I just went to start Firefox and it paused and said it was installing an update. Now I can stay logged in to GB.

Based on the last two posts, I closed Firefox for a few minutes and did not have to log in to GameBoomers just now. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Another weird thing Firefox does often is start to open, then close, then open, then close, then open again.

Yeah, I finally just got fed up with stuff like that kind of came and went. That's why I forced myself to stick with Edge and I'm very glad I did.
