How do I disable McAfee popups? They continuously popup and block my view on sites. I don't have McAfee installed on my system. Thanks in advance/

Have you ever had McAfee installed on your computer? I am asking in case you uninstalled it but some remnants of it were left on your system.

If you don't have McAfee installed and never have, then these popups sound like adware/malware to me. First of all, I am sure you already know this, but don't click on any links that pop up. Do you have a malware/adware program installed (like Malwarebytes or something similar) that you can run to get rid of this?

It might also be something that has attached to your browser extensions that you could get rid of that way.

How old is your computer? Many computers come with a version of McAfee pre-installed. However, what you are describing is NOT a McAfee popup. It is malware.

If you have it, run CCleaner and scan your computer with your anti-virus software.

CCleaner is a free download and you can get it here. Just get the free trial and ignore the driver updater.

Thanks Marian and Drac. I stopped them with Malewarebytes and total Adblock - add blocker. Those 2 combined solved the problem.

Excellent! Malwarebytes to the rescue as always. I still would suggest running CCleaner... there may be a bunch of persistent cookies somewhere.
