Spring has sprung!

So let's have a Spring Fling! All are invited to this party, and you're welcome to bring a flower to plant in the Garden.

Certain flowers will meet a certain criterion I've just made up. I'll let you know whether or not your flower qualifies. The first person to guess the criterion is the winner of nothing but everyone's admiration.

I'm bringing a daffodil

How about a lily?

I love lilies! That's what my name means. But nope, lily does not meet the criterion.

Tulips?

Such wonderful choices! They're all welcome in the garden! But none meet the criterion.

Yes to marigold! It fits the criterion.
