Prayers needed - 02/01/16 09:47 PM
Hi fellow Gardners,
My younger son Jason could use your prayers and/or positive thoughts. He has been in hospital about 3 weeks. He thought he had bronchitis, but it was a bacterial pneumonia. At first, with their treatment, he was improving. Then the night of January 18 he had a heart attack, coded multiple times, and was shocked multiple times.
Last Friday the doctors performed the surgery where a tube is inserted through the large artery in the groin and then dye is inserted. It showed one of the main arteries in (to) the heart was 99% blocked. They inserted a balloon and inflated it to temporarily keep the passage open. Then he was transferred from Princess Anne Sentara to Norolk General Sentara, where their main cardiology hospital is. They performed a second surgery to remove the balloon and insert a permanent stent.
Since then he has steadily improved. Yesterday he had solid food for the first time since he went to the hospital. He was well enough to call and wish me a happy birthday. Believe me, hearing his voice was the best birthday present I could have received.
He is going to have a long recovery, so your prayers and/or positive thoughts will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
