The gator population has tripled in the area since they learned the art of sign making.

Local race officals had no idea why so many runners set their personal best time in this weekends race.

It didn't take long for the word to spread that the DOT put the signs back up...

Fast food for swamp dwellers

The gators from Live and Let Die were able to work a deal out of Jamaica and retire to a new bayou in the U.S. where joggers are everywhere

"How come Charlie and Bill never join us here?"
" They hang out by the retirement center pool now. They say runners are too stringy and lean and don't taste good. "

"Hey Bill, how come you never eat at these runner feeding frenzies?"
"I'm holding out for an Olympian. I heard those gold medals make good floss."

That was a very scary photo. I lived in Homestead, Florida at the edge of the Everglades for 10 years and always had tremendous respect for the gators. That being said, I really enjoyed both of Space Quest Fan's entries this week, but my favorite has to be:

Yes, a scary photo, Scarlet. There are several reasons why Florida will never be my home, and the gators are high on the list.
