I just checked the Encyclopedia Britannica, Rog, and it says the entire length of the Indus is 3, 200 km (2,000 mi) and 2900 km (1800 mi) of it runs through India. The Ganges is 2510 km (1560 mi), and other rivers I checked aren't as long.

Good one, Bernie! smile

Take it all back, Lady K, manxman - mea culpa. Google doesn't help much either - half the time it says Ganges, half the time it says Indus oops

I've noticed the discrepancies, too. One wonders who did the measuring and how many pints were consumed beforehand.
