Leeana, I'm so sorry to hear that. My mother was the same way - she couldn't tolerate any pain med as they make her horribly ill. But she had both her her hips replaced with nothing more than Tylenol and it went quite well. My sister is the same way and her hip replacement also went really well... not a lot of pain at all compared to some of her other surgeries. The key is to take the rehab seriously!
